Students began class by writing down some of the vocabulary from their "Golden Ticket." We turned in this as well as yesterday's warm up. After this, students received a Sounds of Spanish paper which they are to keep handy for the next several weeks. We will use this sheet each day over the next few weeks to work on our pronunciation. We practiced pronunciation of words as a class, then students were allowed to group up and practice pronouncing items on the "Golden Ticket." After lunch, I asked several students questions that they were to answer in Spanish using this sheet. We then learned a children's rhyme to help us with pronunciation as well as asking and answering questions in Spanish.
See Documents page for the sounds of Spanish worksheet.
