SpII students started class with questions to answer on all we have learned this year. they also picked up a list of possible topics for tomorrow's writing assessment as well as another study guide for the Final Exam next week. We practiced more on listening with some textbook activities.

spII students began class by answering a list of questions in Spanish with complete spanish sentences. These were a review of many of our SpII topics we have learned this year. We completed some listening activities to review as well as to show the students how far they have come! We also started to go over the study guide that was given yesterday, but most students had not done it at all, so we stopped and reviewed as a class--these study guides will be due tomorrow!!
See Documents pg for today's ppt w warm up ?s SpII students began with a worksheet on irregular preterits and verbs that change meaning in preterit. We reviewed as a class before taking the quiz. After the quiz, students picked up our first study guide for the Final Exam. Even those who are looking to exempt the exam will still have class work and practice through May 20th so stay on board!! We will be working on our Spanish skills this week.

SpII students started class translating a set of sentences into Spanish using irregular preterits and verbs that change meaning in the preterit. We reviewed our irregular preterits and their conjugations as well as sang a song to help us remember them. Then we reviewed the 4 verbs that change meaning when conjugated in preterit tense and practiced sentences with them. then we played Torre de Bloques as we didn't have much time for that yesterday- this was played with all our irregular and meaning changing verbs in preterit tense. We also played Palomitas and Matamoscas.

SpII students began class by writing a list of sentences in Spanish using the verbs that change meaning in preterit tense. We reviewed these verbs that change meaning along with their conjugations in both present and preterit and completed a worksheet on these verbs in preterit. We played Palomitas with all types of preterit verbs and added verbs that change meaning to it. We wrapped it up with a game of Torre de bloques using all preterit verbs we have worked on so far

See Documents pg for today's ppt w/ warm up and class review as well as our worksheet on verbs that change meaning SpII students began with two activities from a workbook pg practicing verbs in preterit tense and their meaning. We then took new notes on verbs that change meaning from what we are used to in Present tense when they take on the Preterit forms. After taking these notes, we practiced for a bit as a class then students completed p101 in their workbooks using these verbs. We also completed a vhl listening activity. After this, we played matamoscas with the verbs we took notes on today.

Spanish II students started class by describing four of their U9 vocab in Spanish. We reviewed with a game of Matamoscas - Spanish defs to Spanish words then took the U9 vocab quiz. After the quiz, students picked up a workbook pg to complete. Most turned this in, but some needed to take it home to complete. these are due first thing in class tomorrow!

After this, students worked together to understand the sentences written in spanish then put them together with a picture. We also played Palomitas and Matamoscas to review our U9 vocab for tomorrow's quiz.

We then made four- flap flip books to review the preterit verbs we have already learned as well as add a new set of irregular preterits. Students filled out their flip books with notes and examples of the regular as well as irregular verbs in the preterit tense. After taking the notes, students completed a textbook activity using the new verbs.
