Spanish 1 students completed a warm up consisting of sentences that used o to ue and u to ue stem changing verbs. We reviewed all the stem changers we have learned and practiced to date, including Jugar from Friday. Students were able to earn a lot of Oral points in this review. We then took new notes on e to i stem changers and their conjugations. We practiced them in class then students completed and turned in a practice worksheet. We ended class by trying a game on quizlet of all the stem changing verbs in present tense.

Spanish 1 students began class by filling out a verb grid using e to ie stem changers as well as the 2 completely irregular verbs we have learned (ser/ir). We reviewed e to ie stem changers then took new notes on o to ue stem changers. After practicing this as a class for a bit, students completed a worksheet on these verbs.

Sp1 students began class today with a set of sentences to write in Spanish that use the verb Ir and vocabular from past and present units. We reviewed the verb Ir, how to conjugate it and how to use it in speaking and writing sentences. We practiced as a class for Oral points, then we filled out a song lyric sheet that used ir a infinitive. I went over this in class with the students (again for Oral points) then we listened to the song. After the song, students were to write a paragraph in Spanish using our 'going to' grammar as well as any other vocab we have learned up to this point. We ended class with a game of matamoscas where students were able to review their grammar for communication points.
