Students began with a worksheet to review U3 vocab, adjectives and verbs. After taking any questions on the warm up worksheet, we reviewed for the quiz as a class. We also played a game of matamoscas with verb conjugations. After the quiz, students picked up a worksheet where they are to create and describe their own criminals in Spanish. This was sent home for homework and due at the beginning of class tomorrow.

spanish I students began class with a textbook activity using the correct verb (either Tener or Venir) conjugated correctly for the Spanish sentences written. We reviewed our U3 verb conjugations and practiced them as a class. Then students completed a reading comprehension worksheet that had our U3 verbs in it. After this, we reviewed possessive adjectives and how to use them in Spanish. We then played Silla Caliente to review our U3 grammar.

Spanish I students began class with a worksheet where they had to translate short phrases into Spanish using U3 er/ir verbs as well as Tener and Venir. We reviewed possessive adjectives and how to use them before practicing for group points. We also reviewed how to form and use -er/ -ir verbs and practiced those as a class. Then we reviewed the 2 similar irregular verbs: Tener and Venir./ After practicing these as a class for group points, students worked on a Dados worksheet where they had to create their own sentences using verbs and subjects from the paper (these were -er/-ir verbs, tener and venir). Students who did not finish this in class today will need to complete for homework and have ready to submit at the beginning of class tomorrow!

Spanish I students started class by writing 4 sentences in Spanish using U3 vocab and adjective agreement as well as previous grammar. I took up the warm ups from this week and we began new notes on Possessive Adjectives. Students had already been introduced to 1/2 of these when we worked on our family trees. I added the plural possessive adjectives and we practiced those as a class for a bit. Students also completed a worksheet where they were answering questions in Spanish using possessive adjectives.

After this, we finished our family trees and students received a wordsearch to practice their U3 vocab and adjective agreement for tomorrow's quiz
Quiz tomorrow over U3 vocab (all) and adjective agreement. See Documents pg for today's warm up and ppt that also has some good review on it. SpI students began class today with a worksheet (1/2 sheet). We reviewed the verbs Ser and Tener as well as adjectives and how to use them. I handed back the writings from yesterday and we added another sheet of long blank paper for them to make a family tree on one side of their family, lableing with the appropriate vocab from U3. We spent the rest of the class period on this and will finish it up in the 1st half of class tomorrow.
Quiz over vocab U3 and adjectives and their agreement this Thursday. See Documents pg for today's instructions for the family tree which includes yesterday's instructions on the 10 sentences. Today, students wrote sentences using U3 vocab and the adjective agreement we learned in yesterday's class. After this, students worked on a worksheet on adjectives. Then we reviewed what we learned about Adjectives yesterday and then added to those notes with plural adjectives and the placement of adjectives in Spanish sentences. We practiced this in class, then played matamoscas with our U3 vocabulary.
We will begin a family tree mini-project on Monday (moved back from today) We will have a quiz over U3 vocab and adjectives and their agreement on 10.24.19 See Documents pg for today's ppt w/ warm up, review, new notes and class practice as well as the adjective worksheet and guided note sheet for today's addition to the Adjective Notes. |
