Spanish I students began class with a worksheet practicing the conjugations of stem-changing verbs. We briefly reviewed as a class and I had students team up to play a board game where they had to conjugate their stem changing verbs. After lunch, we took the quiz. When students turned their quizzes in to me, they picked up a verb grid worksheet of regular, irregular and stem-changing verbs they are to complete. Those who did not finish and turn in today, will need to complete for homework. I will take it up on Monday, Dec 2

Spanish I students began class with a worksheet on stem changers. We reviewed these verbs as a class and added one new verb to our list- the ONLY u>ue stem changer in the Spanish language- Jugar. This verb will not be on tomorrow's quiz, but will be on the Unit test. Students were also given a crossword to complete and most took it home to finish and turn in at the beginning of class tomorrow.

We then began our class review of stem changing verbs. Students had to write the sentences from the ppt slide and conjugate the verb in parenthesis properly, then translate the sentences into English. After this, students were given a Conjugarte worksheet on o>ue verbs that is licensed so it is only available in the classroom. Students did not have time to finish this in class and had to take it home to complete for homework--they are to draw the lines from the box with the correct conjugation into the correct grid for that verb and subject. when done, they will have a drawing from a famous painter.

After reviewing stem changers as a class, we focused on one type of stem changer for today (e>ie). We wrote sentences in spanish and completed a worksheet using these verbs.

Spanish I students began class with a reading comprehension worksheet. This is only available in the classroom crate. We then took new notes on stem-changing verbs, what they are and how to conjugate them in Spanish. We will break this group of verbs down per section in the next few days. We practiced conjugating them as a class then students received a worksheet to complete on their own. This will be due tomorrow as it was started in class, but they did not have time to complete it in class.

SpI students began class with a worksheet where they had to write using the verb Ir with a place and then with the verb Ir +a+ infinitive to say someone is going to.... We took the U3 min quiz over adjectives and verb meanings after which students were able to complete the warm up worksheet. We reviewed the verb Ir as a class and practiced it and all it's uses. Student completed a 1/2 worksheet where they had to translate several sentences into English. Then we played matamoscas to review our U4 vocab.

Spanish I students were to write 5 of their own sentences in Spanish using the U4 vocab. We took the U2 mini quiz and students were given a paragraph to read and draw. After taking this up, we reviewed the verb IR and our U4 vocab. We then played a game of matamoscas using the U3 vocabulary

Spanish I students began class with a textbook activity where they had to write sentences using the verb Ir and places from their U4 vocabulary. We took a mini quiz over U1 in an effort to keep all our vocabulary in mind since we have to continually use it. We then reviewed the verb IR and its conjugations and uses in class. After practicing using this verb for group points, students received a lyric sheet where they had to conjugate regular -ar, -er and -ir verbs as well as the verbs Ir and Ser. After filling this out, we listened to the song and read along. Then we played matamoscas with U2 vocabulary

All written warm ups are turned in on Fridays. We reviewed the verb Ir and Ir a infinitive sentences (going to do something) as a class. Then students listened to a song and completed a lyric sheet using Ir a infinitive as they listened to the song. Afterwards, students were allowed to fill in the blanks from the English I gave them. Students then worked on a worksheet practicing Ir a infinitive before playing Matamoscas with our U1 vocab to practice for tomorrow's mini-quiz.
Tomorrow- Mini quiz over U1 Sustantivos Wed, Nov 12- Min quiz over U2 vocab Thurs, Nov 13- Mini quiz over U3 vocab Friday, Nov 14- Regular quiz over all of U4 vocab and the verb Ir and all it's uses. SpI students began class by writing sentences in Spanish using U4 vocab and previously learned grammar on verb conjugations and adjective agreement. We took new notes on the irregular, but often used, verb IR and practiced our Ir conjugations. Then we continued with our notes on Ir a infinitive to say someone/something is going to... We practiced several sentences on this as a class then students completed a worksheet using U4 vocab, the verb Ir and the Going to sentence structure.
