Welcome back! I hope everyone had a lovely Fall Break!
Spanish II students began with a warm up activity where they had to answer Spanish questions in complete Spanish sentences about their famous person from our research the week before break. We then went to the media center and, after a quick refresher (crash course for some) on how to use imovie, students began to record their videos from the scripts we completed on Friday, Sept 20. We will complete the movies in the media center tomorrow. See Documents pg for today's warm up on the ppt.

Spanish II students wrapped up the week with a list of reflexive sentences using a variety of previous grammar and vocab. I gave them the instructions for the rest of our project and we went to the Lab to work on the skits for our films.
Monday and Tuesday o(9.30 & 10.1) we will be filming. Bring your props and any costume items you need. See Documents pg for today's ppt w/ warm up as well as the instructions for our Hispanic Americans Project. Spanish II students began class by writing sentences in Spanish using reflexive verbs and U7 vocabulary. Each student then chose a name from my list of Notable Hispanic Americans and we went to the computer lab to research. The information they found on these people were put onto a document from the Documents Page and shared with me.
Tomorrow we will add on to this research and add our own creativity to it! We will be filming on the Monday and Tuesday after break. See Documents pg for today's ppt with the warm up. Spanish II students began class with a textbook activity for their warm up. When they completed this, we reviewed both reflexive verbs and U7 vocabulary (Spanish to Spanish). After taking the U7 Quiz, students picked up a worksheet where they are to draw pictures of the vocabulary on one side and write their own Spanish definitions on the back. Those who did not complete this today will need to complete for homework.

After this we reviewed what makes a verb reflexive then played a game of matamoscas to practice identifying reflexive v/s non-reflexive verbs. We completed a song lyric sheet with reflexive conjugations then listened to the song. Then we reviewed how to use reflexive verbs in Spanish and completed a Daily Routine paragraph with drawn pictures to represent each sentence. Those who did not finish this in class will need to complete for homework.

Spanish II students began with a worksheet using U7 vocabulary in a variety of different ways. We took a pre-test on reflexive verbs then we took new notes on reflexive verbs. after going over these and practicing them in class, we played matamoscas to review our U7 vocab more.

Spanish II students began class with a circumlocution worksheet using U7 vocab. We then went to the computer lab to complete our Ser/Estar ppts from yesterday. We ended class working on our listening skills with some activities from vhl.central. Those who did not finish this in class will need to complete for homework.

We ended with a game of Go Fish using DOPs.
