spanish II students began with a worksheet using irregular preterits, IOPs and demonstrative adjectives. After this, we had a class review as well as a review game of matamoscas. When students turned in their quizzes, they picked up a Saber/Conocer worksheet to complete. Those who did not complete and turn in today, will need to finish for homework and be prepared to turn in at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Spanish Ii students began class with a worksheet where they had to pick the correct demonstrative adjectives for the sentences/conversation written. Then students had timed writing in Spanish to complete in class. We reviewed as a class all grammar sections for tomorrow's quiz and played Palomitas with them

We reviewed all of these grammar sections as a class and practiced them as a class with each group given the opportunity to earn group points. We then played Battleship with our preterit tense conjugations.

They were required to use the preterit tense and use at least 2 IOP sentences. We reviewed the preterit tense in Spanish with all the regular and irregular that we have learned so far. Then we completed a worksheet straight off the headlines and watched a news clip of the story as well. We then took new notes on Demonstrative Adjectives in Spanish. We practiced using these in Spanish as a class and worked individually with them in a textbook activity.

Spanish II students began class with translating sentences into Spanish using what we have learned so far with the preterit tense. We then added new notes to the preterit that we have been working on. We added ther verb Hacer, stem-changers in preterit and spelling changers due to triple vowels. After practicing this in class, we reviewed our U6 vocab with a game of Cucharas.

Then we took the Quiz after which students picked up a worksheet reviewing IOPs and how they are used in Spanish.

SpII students began class with a worksheet in Spanish where they had to decide the correct verb and conjugate it in the preterit tense to fit the sentence in the first 1/2. In the 2nd 1/2 of the worksheet, they had to also identify whether the verb should be conjugated or not, and if so, is it conjugated in preterit or present tense. This took some hard thinking on their part and was a test of their Spanish knowledge. We reviewed the 2 verbs of To Know, practiced those then reviewed the preterit tense. After practicing these conjugation as a class, we played Jenga in groups where they were to conjugate in the preterit tense. We also played matamoscas with Saber/Conocer and preterit.

Spanish II students began class with a worksheet to review the preterit tense and how to respond to questions using the preterit. We reviewed Saber/ Conocer as a class and practiced its uses. Then we listened to an authentic song that uses both of these verbs and filled out the lyrics with the correct conjugation of the correct verb for To Know. We discussed the Indirect and Direct Objects in this song to review those as well. Students completed a practice sheet with out notes to see where they were in their understanding of these verbs and we went over the worksheet so they could keep it with their notes to study with--they did a great job here! I reviewed the preterit tense and showed them how the spelling for certain verbs occurs only in the Yo form. At the end of class, we played matamoscas to continue our review of saber/conocer and the preterit conjugations.

SpII students began by writing sentences using the preterit tense in Spanish. We then took new notes on Saber and Conocer, their conjugations in present tense and when to use which. We practiced as a class, then students completed a worksheet added to the back of their guided note sheet using both verbs. After going over this, we worked on a 1/4 sheet preterit worksheets on headlines and students had to match the statement that best matched the headlines. Then we played matamoscas with preterit tense as well as Saber and Conocer.
